Is MotorHabit an authorized Freego dealer?
We are a Freego dealer with terms agreed and the paperwork in progress. Every bike on these pages ships from a US warehouse in California, and every warranty claim is opened and tracked by us rather than handed to an overseas support form.
Are Freego bikes street legal?
Some are and most are not, and the difference matters. The X1 SE, the Shotgun Lite F0 and the Shotgun Prime F2 Pro are built as Class 2 e-bikes - pedals, a 20 mph throttle cap, no license or registration. Everything in the Nova and X ranges above the X1 SE is an off-road machine with no class rating and a top speed between 37 and 62 mph. Each product page says which it is in plain language; do not assume from the shape of the bike.
How long does a Freego bike take to arrive?
In-stock bikes dispatch from a California warehouse within 1 to 3 business days, with 3 to 8 business days quoted in transit to the lower 48. Shipping is free. Hawaii, Puerto Rico and other islands are not served - talk to us first and we can ship to a continental address you nominate.
What does the Freego warranty cover?
Freego publishes a tiered warranty: 24 months on frame, stem and handlebars; 1 year on motor, battery, controller and core electronics; 3 months on switches, wiring, lights, throttle, sensors, display and charger; 30 days on wear parts. The battery is covered against capacity loss beyond 20 percent under normal use. Freego sends genuine replacement parts free within cover - labor is never included. Which Freego should I buy?
Start with the legal question. If it has to be road legal, you are choosing between the X1 SE, the F0 and the F2 Pro, or the City Flow A1 if you want an actual bicycle. If it is off-road, sort by rider height first: the X0 fits from 4'7", the Natkie N1 and the F0 from 4'11", the X2 Pro and Nova 4 from 5'4", and the X3 from 5'7". Then pick on battery, because that is what decides how long a ride lasts.
Do you stock Freego spare parts?
Not yet. We have asked Freego about their parts catalog and will list what they will sell us. In the meantime we can source service parts for a bike bought here - email hello@motorhabit.com with your model and what failed.
About Freego
Freego build in two directions at once. One half of the range is off-road: the Nova and X series, from a 3,000 W X1 up to the 15,000 W Nova 5 Pro, on forged aluminum and steel frames with four-piston hydraulic brakes and motorcycle-grade wheels. The other half is road legal: Class 2 fat-tire Shotguns, the X1 SE, and the City Flow A1 - the only actual bicycle they make.
The line between the two is not the shape of the bike. The X3 has pedals, turn signals and a brake light and is still off-road only, because its off-road mode does 56 mph. Every product page here states which side it falls on before you get to the price.
Everything ships free from Freego's warehouse in Chino, California - 1 to 3 business days to dispatch, then 3 to 8 in transit to the lower 48.
