Four rules that matter more than the lock
Thieves pick the easiest bike on the rack. Most of this is about not being that bike.
What to spend
The usual guidance is around a tenth of what the bike cost. On a $1,400 commuter that is a $140 lock, which sounds absurd until you price the bike again.
How to lock
Lock the frame to an immovable object, not the wheel. A wheel-only lock leaves you with a wheel. Fill the shackle so there is no room for a jack.
Take the battery
On most commuters the battery is removable and worth hundreds. Taking it with you removes both the value and the ability to ride away. Do this before you think about the lock.
Trackers
A tracker does not stop a theft, it gives the police an address. Hide it somewhere that is not the obvious place, and register the frame number somewhere you can find it later.

What is here. Seven lock and security parts. Two are locks in the usual sense, the Yozma combination bike lock and the Heybike steel cable lock, alongside the Heybike bike steel cable. The other four are locks that live on the bike: the Yozma IN 10 ignition lock set, the Heybike Villain ignition key switch lock, the Anyland Rev ignition lock, and the Heybike battery lock with keys that secures a removable pack.
How riders choose. A bike that gets left outside needs a lock that goes around the frame, and the cable and combination options cover that. An ignition lock set is a repair part, bought when keys are lost or the switch stops turning, and it is specific to the bike it was made for. The battery lock is the piece to replace when a removable pack no longer locks in or the key is gone.
Fitment. Ignition locks and battery locks are tagged to the Yozma, Heybike or Anyland models they were checked against, and the fitment badge on the product card shows that before you open the listing. Cable and combination locks are not tied to one model.
