What the N1 actually is

Natkie builds one machine and sells it through Freego. It is close enough to a Sur-Ron in layout that the comparison is worth making explicitly.

Mid-drive, not a hub

Drivetrain

The N1 turns the chain from an 8,000 W brushless mid-drive rather than driving the wheel from a hub, so its torque is multiplied through the gearing. Single speed, electric throttle, hydraulic discs at both ends and full suspension.

6061 aluminum

Frame

A forged 6061 T4 and T6 aluminum frame keeps the whole bike to 123 lb with a 2,160 Wh pack on board — lighter than most 72V machines at this power, which is what makes it manageable for a smaller rider.

4'11" to 5'11"

Fit

The reason to look at this bike. Most full-size 72V machines start their rider window at 5'3" or higher. Natkie rates the N1 from 4'11", with a 220 lb max load. Off-road only: no pedals, no US e-bike class, not street legal.

How does the N1 compare to a Sur-Ron?
Same template — mid-drive, aluminum frame, full suspension, 19 inch wheels, no pedals. The N1 runs 8,000 W on a 72V 30Ah pack (2,160 Wh) at 123 lb, with 70/100-19 tires front and rear and hydraulic discs at both ends. Is it street legal?
No. There are no pedals, so it cannot be a low-speed electric bicycle, and it ships with no VIN and no DOT lighting package. Off-road and private property only.
What warranty and shipping does it come with?
A 2-year Freego warranty — 24 months on the frame, 12 on the motor and battery. It ships free from Freego's California warehouse, typically 1 to 3 business days to dispatch and 3 to 8 in transit, lower 48 only.
