Overview

The cargo Shotgun: a Shimano 7-speed, a 1,080 Wh pack and 110 lb more load rating than the rest of the range.

The Shotgun Prime F2 Pro is the load-carrier of the Shotgun range. A 750 W rear hub motor rated 1,400 W at peak, a 48V 22.5Ah pack worth 1,080 watt-hours, and a 330 lb load rating - 110 lb more than either of its stablemates - on a long bench seat that takes a passenger or a set of panniers without argument.

It is the only Shotgun with gears: a Shimano 7-speed, which matters far more on a loaded bike than an unloaded one. Top speed is 20 mph as a Class 2 bike, adjustable to 28. Full suspension front and rear, hydraulic disc brakes at both ends, a high carbon steel frame and 20 x 4 air-filled tires. Freego quotes 31 to 50 miles, curb weight is 112 lb, and the 42V 2A charger takes 10 to 12 hours.

A single-speed drivetrain is fine on an unloaded bike and miserable on a loaded one. The F2 Pro is the only Shotgun with a geared drivetrain - a Shimano 7-speed - behind a 750 W rear hub motor rated 1,400 W at peak. Loaded to its 330 lb limit on a hill, that combination is the difference between riding and pushing.

Shipping & delivery

  • Ships free from Freego's US warehouse in Chino, California.
  • Freego dispatches in-stock bikes within 1 to 3 business days, then quotes 3 to 8 business days in transit.
  • You get tracking as soon as the carrier scans it.
  • Lower 48 and DC only - Freego does not deliver to Hawaii, Puerto Rico or other islands.
  • Inspect the crate before you sign. Photograph or film any visible damage on the spot.

2-year Freego warranty

  • Freego is the manufacturer; MotorHabit is your dealer and every claim starts with us.
  • Freego publishes a 2-year limited manufacturer warranty to the original retail purchaser.
  • Cover by part: 24 months on the frame, stem and handlebar; 12 months on motor, controller, battery pack and wheels; 3 months on throttle, lights, sensors, display and charger; 30 days on wear parts.
  • The motor is covered for 12 months or 10,000 miles, whichever comes first.
  • Battery cover applies to capacity loss beyond 20 percent under normal use, not to overcharging, deep discharge or leaving the pack flat for a month.
  • Freego supplies genuine replacement parts free within cover, and guarantees parts availability for 2 years.

Questions riders actually ask

No. Freego builds it as a Class 2 e-bike - 750 W nominal, pedals, throttle capped at 20 mph - which federal law treats as a bicycle. No license, registration or insurance. Local rules on where Class 2 bikes may go vary, so check yours.
The 330 lb load rating and the long bench seat are what the bike is built around, so physically yes. Whether it is legal where you live is a separate question - some states prohibit passengers on e-bikes and others require a fitted passenger seat and pegs. Check your state before you carry anyone.
Different bikes for different jobs at the same money. The F2 Pro gets a bigger motor, nearly double the battery, a Shimano 7-speed and a 330 lb load rating. The F0 gets a smaller frame that fits riders from 4'11" and charges in three to five hours instead of ten to twelve. Pick on fit and job, not price.
Freego publishes 31 to 50 miles from the 48V 22.5Ah pack. Load it up and plan around 31.
It ships free from Freego's warehouse in Chino, California. Freego dispatches in-stock bikes within 1 to 3 business days and quotes 3 to 8 business days in transit to the lower 48. Freego publishes a 2-year limited manufacturer warranty to the original retail purchaser, split by part. The frame, stem and handlebar are covered for 24 months. The motor, controller, battery pack and wheels are covered for 12 months - the motor specifically for 12 months or 10,000 miles, whichever comes first. Throttle, lights, pedal-assist sensor, display, switches and charger are covered for 3 months. Wear parts - grips, tires, tubes, fenders, fork, kickstand, brake pads, cables, rotors and gears - are covered for 30 days. The battery is covered against capacity loss beyond 20 percent under normal use. It arrives part-assembled in a crate. Expect to fit the front wheel, handlebars, mirrors or fenders where fitted, charge the pack fully, and go over every fastener with a torque wrench before the first ride. Budget an hour and a set of hex keys.
