"For adults" is doing real work in that title. Half the electric dirt bikes sold online are sized and rated for children, and the spec that tells you which is which is not power, it is the rider-height range and the maximum load. Every bike below is rated by its manufacturer for a full-size rider, and we sell every one of them, so the numbers come from our own product pages. Prices are today's and ship free.

"Rider fit" is whatever the manufacturer publishes: a height range, a maximum load, a minimum age, or all three. Where a page lists none of those, the cell says so.
Best value for an adult: Heybike Villain, from $1,299
The cheapest bike we sell that is rated to 6'1" and 265 lb, and it is a proper machine: 4,160 W mid-drive, 45 mph, a removable 52V 26Ah pack, an app-tunable FarDriver controller, a magnetic kill switch and a start lockout. It is also the best-supported bike in this guide, with more than 45 parts under the VLLN code. Over 6'1" you will feel cramped at speed; that is the one ceiling.
Best under $2,000: Coswheel R6000, $1,599, or Yozma IN 10 Pro, $1,799
The R6000 is the full-size choice, rated 5'1" to 6'5" and 330 lb on a 33 in seat, with 7,000 W, 55 mph and a removable 1,800 Wh pack. The IN 10 Pro is the mini moto, 4'8" to 6'3" and 330 lb on a 30.7 in seat, with 220 N·m, 50 mph and the biggest brakes under $2,000 at 220 mm front and 190 mm rear. Best all-rounder: Coswheel R19, $2,499
Sixty miles an hour, a 2,880 Wh pack rated for 75+ miles on throttle, an aluminum frame, 220 mm of adjustable fork travel and 300 mm at the rear, 19 in wheels, riders from 5'3" to 6'5" and a 330 lb safe load. For an adult who wants one bike that does trails, open land and long days, this is the one we point at most. The under-$3,000 guide ranks it against the Freegos and the MotoTec 8000W.
Best mid-drive under $4,000: Freego Nova 4, $2,199, or Freego Nova 5, $3,699
Mid-drives put the motor weight low and central and feed the rear wheel through a chain, which is why the Surron class rides the way it does. The Nova 4 gives you that at $2,199: 6,000 W peak, 280 N·m, four-piston brakes and 45 mph. The Nova 5 steps up to a forged aluminum frame, 8,000 W peak, 380 N·m, a 72V 40Ah pack of LG cells, 220/200 mm brakes and 53 mph for $3,699. Both are rated to 264 lb.
Best Surron-class alternative: 79BIKE Falcon Pro, $4,049
A 10 kW peak mid-drive with 410 N·m and field-oriented control, a 72V 35Ah LG pack rated for 75 miles, Fastace suspension, 19 in wheels and a 130 lb curb weight, rated to 300 lb and 18+. Our price is delivered, freight included. The Lynx at $4,249 adds 12 kW, an aluminum frame, a 72V 40Ah pack and 220 mm discs at 146 lb. Most power under $5,000: Freego Nova 5 Pro, $4,599, or MotoTec Venom 12000W, $4,999
The Nova 5 Pro is the Nova 5 with an 8,000 W nominal, 15,000 W peak mid-drive and Samsung 50S cells, good for 62 mph. The Venom 12000W is a different animal: a 12 kW peak motor, 1,000 N·m, a four-speed manual clutch with a reverse gear, a 72V 60Ah quick-release pack, a 35.4 in seat, 238 lb, 77 mph, and MotoTec's six-month parts warranty. It is the closest thing here to a full-size electric motocross bike.
The flagships: 79BIKE Falcon GT, $5,099, and Y-VOLT Surge V, $5,999
The Falcon GT runs a 16 kW peak mid-drive, 610 N·m, a 72V 40Ah Samsung pack and 59 mph at 152 lb. The Surge V is the most powerful bike we sell: an in-house 35 kW peak, 15 kW rated motor, 948 N·m at the rear wheel, 68 mph, 0 to 60 in four seconds, a 97.2V 45Ah (4,374 Wh) Samsung pack that charges in three hours at 15 A, and 245 mm of adjustable Fastace travel, at 204 lb. Y-VOLT does not publish a rider-height range, so the table leaves it blank.
Which bikes did we leave off, and why?
The Yozma IN 10 is rated to 5'11", so it fits a smaller adult but not most; it leads the under-$1,500 guide instead. The 78 Forged Phase I is capped at a 120 lb rider. The Natkie N1 is an 8,000 W mid-drive on an aluminum frame, but Natkie lists 4'11" to 5'11" and 220 lb. The MotoTec Venom 30000W at $5,999 is an adult bike by every measure, and it is in the MotoTec electric comparison; we kept one Venom in the table to keep it readable.

Everything here is an off-road vehicle. Nothing in this guide is street legal, whatever it carries for lights or pedals. Full-face helmet, gloves and boots on every ride, and read where you can actually ride before the first one.
