About Drivetrain
Gearing is the cheapest big change you can make to an electric dirt bike, and the easiest one to get wrong. A bigger rear sprocket adds hill torque and low-end pull and takes top speed away in the same proportion; a smaller one does the reverse. Nothing here changes how much power the motor makes, only where it puts it. Run the numbers on the gearing calculator before you buy, or read the 48T vs 58T breakdown for the Light Bee.
Sprockets here are cut from 7075-T6 and hard anodized, in 420 pitch to match the stock chain on Surron and Talaria. Chains are pre-stretched and O-ring sealed so they hold adjustment instead of needing a tug every ride. Tensioners use sealed bearings for the same reason.
Every part shows which bikes it is verified for. Chain slack is set at the tightest point in the suspension travel, not on the stand; the chain care guide covers the 30-second wear check.
Change the ratio, change the bike.
