Y-VOLT
One machine, built end to end — motor, controller and a 97.2 volt pack.
Y-VOLT Surge V 97.2V/45Ah 35000W Off-Road Electric Dirt Bike
Parts and accessories
Y-VOLT parts are not listed on the store yet. They make a supermoto wheel set, a 21 inch front wheel and a color-matched helmet for the Surge V, and we can order those plus service parts through our dealer account. Email support@motorhabit.com and we will quote you.
Find parts for my bikeThree things that separate it from a 72-volt e-moto
72 volts runs out of headroom
Nearly every e-moto in this class runs a 72 volt pack, and to make big power on 72 volts you have to push big current — which means heat, thicker cable and a controller working at its limit. The Surge V runs 97.2 volts, so the same power costs less current, and there is room left for the 35 kW peak instead of the number being a one-second party trick.
Power you cannot meter is not usable
A 35 kW motor with crude switching is violent at walking pace and exhausting on a trail. Y-VOLT's own controller uses sine-wave PWM and vector control, sampled at up to 20 kHz, splitting current into torque and flux and handling each separately. That is the difference between a bike that surges and a bike you can place.
A drop-shipped e-moto usually means you are on your own
Y-VOLT supply the parts; MotorHabit answers the phone. Every warranty claim, shipping-damage claim and setup question starts and finishes with us at support@motorhabit.com, and we open the claim with the factory on your behalf rather than handing you an address in another time zone.
Y-VOLT are a manufacturer, not a badge on someone else's frame. The motor, the controller and the pack architecture are all their own design, and the bike ships from their own California warehouse rather than direct from a factory overseas.
- Motor and controller developed in house, not bought in
- Samsung ternary lithium cells in a Greenway-built pack
- FASTACE suspension at both ends, adjustable at both ends
- Ships from Rialto, California — 1 business day to dispatch
Peak output from a motor Y-VOLT design and build in house — 48 hp, and 15 kW continuous. The rotor turns to 12,000 rpm on rare-earth magnets.
The only bike we sell running above 72 volts. 45 Ah at that voltage is 4,374 watt-hours of Samsung ternary lithium, roughly 50 percent more than the 72V 40Ah packs this class usually runs.
Torque quoted at the rear wheel, not at the motor shaft. That is 700 lb-ft where the tire meets the ground, and 0 to 60 mph in four seconds.

About Y-VOLT
Y-VOLT build one machine and build every major part of it themselves — the high-speed permanent-magnet motor, the sine-wave vector controller, and the 97.2 volt architecture the two of them run on. The Surge V is the result: 35 kW, 948 N·m at the rear wheel, 68 mph, and the only pack on this store above 72 volts. MotorHabit sells it, ships it free from California, and handles every support call and warranty claim ourselves.
