Macfox X1S questions, answered

Is the Bs.zay a different bike?
No — the Bs.zay is an X1S in a limited pearl-white colorway with a shield headlight and a gold chain. Every X1S part fits it.
Can I add a second battery?
Yes. The X1S takes a second pack, which roughly doubles range. The replacement must match or exceed the stock 48V 10.4Ah capacity. Note that Macfox's UL 2271 battery certification covers the single-pack configuration only.
Is it street legal?
Yes, as a Class 2 e-bike — 750W peak, throttle capped at 20 mph.
What does the fitment code mean?
X1S is this bike's platform code. Every part carrying it has been stated as fitting this frame, and the cart records which bike your order is for.
What if it does not fit?
Send it back. 14 days to start a return on any part, no restocking fee, uninstalled and in its original packaging with the hardware bag unopened. If our fitment data was wrong, we cover the return shipping too — that one is on us, not you.

About Macfox X1S

The X1S is the Macfox platform with the most parts behind it, which is not an accident: Macfox designs the frame plain so owners will change it. Hub covers close in the spokes, the chain and pedals come in an iridescent finish, the seat and rear pegs bolt on, and the battery interface is shared across the range so a bigger pack from an X7 or X2 is a legitimate upgrade.

Two fitment details worth knowing before you order. The dual-battery upgrade kit ships in 4-pin and 5-pin versions that are not interchangeable - unplug your pack and count the pins. And the instrument panel comes in four connector variants; the X1S takes the 5-pin R20S/M20P unit unless yours is an older M20 or M20S, which takes the 7-pin. Send us a photo of the connector if you are not sure.

Macfox's one caution, which we repeat: leave the electronic control system alone. Modifying it voids the warranty, and lifting the speed above 20 mph takes the bike out of the Class 2 definition that lets you ride it without a license.
