78 Forged Phase I questions, answered
What fits the 78 Forged Phase I?
Right now this page holds the bike itself plus universal gear — helmets, goggles, gloves, armor, locks and bags that fit any rider on any e-moto. 78 Forged's own 56-part OEM catalog is not listed here yet; we can order any of it through our dealer account, so email support@motorhabit.com with what you need.
What size are the wheels and tires?
14 inch front on a 60/100-14 tire, 12 inch rear on an 80/100-12. The chain is a 420 running an 11-tooth front sprocket and a 53-tooth rear, which are standard pit-bike sizes rather than anything proprietary.
How tall is the seat, and how big a rider does it take?
The seat is 28 inches, which is low — the same as a Yozma IN 10 and about three inches below a Yozma IN 10 Pro. The limit is weight, not height: 78 Forged recommend a maximum rider weight of 120 lb on the bike's spec page, and print a 170 lb figure on their dealer sheet. We publish the lower one until they reconcile it. They publish no recommended rider height at all, so we are not going to invent one.
How far does it go on a charge?
78 Forged publish 40 miles in mode 1 and 20 in mode 3. The 40-mile figure is a steady 25 mph number, so plan around 20 miles of real riding. The pack is 60V 20Ah — 1,200 watt-hours of Samsung 21700 cells — and the stock charger is a 60V 5 A unit.
