About this part
A chest protector covering the sternum and back plate, built for off-road riding. It stops roost from a rider ahead of you, which stings more than most people expect, and takes the edge off a bar or ground impact. Coverage is chest and back.
Adjustable strapping lets you set it over a jersey or under one. Snug the straps so the plates sit flat and do not ride up under the helmet when you tuck. Rinse it after dusty rides and let the straps dry fully before storage. If you are new to the bike, this and a helmet are the two pieces to buy first, before you spend on bike parts.
