About this part
A valve core tool built for use in the field rather than on a bench. The tip is stainless steel, so it will not snap the way a softer brass tip does when a corroded core fights being turned, and the head is ribbed to give grip while the core is backed out.
The tip threads into the handle for storage, which protects it from being bent in a tool bag, and a spare valve core is kept inside the handle for trailside repairs. The handle ends are tapered so the tip can be removed with gloves on, and the edges are rounded rather than square so it does not chew through the bag it lives in.
