About this part
A grade 5 titanium front axle for the Stark Varg, replacing OEM part number SMX1-FW-S-01. It comes with a quick pull tee handle, so the front wheel can come out without hunting for the right socket and a long extension.
The titanium is around 45 percent lighter than the axle it replaces, and it carries a burnt blue anodized finish. A black titanium replacement nut is included. On a bike that gets its front wheel pulled often, for tire changes or transport, a tee handle axle is a practical change rather than a cosmetic one. Torque it to the original figure and check wheel spacers are seated before riding.
