About this part
The counter shaft bolt for the Stark Varg in grade 5 titanium, replacing OEM part number SMX1-PT-GB-09. It sits low on the bike right behind the front sprocket, which is one of the dirtiest and wettest places a fastener can live.
Titanium does not rust or corrode the way the plated steel original does, and it is around 45 percent lighter. Blue thread locker is included and should be used, since this is a bolt that sees vibration and heat cycling. Fit it while the front sprocket cover is already off rather than as a separate job, and torque it to the same figure as the bolt it replaces.
