A real Class 2 e-bike, scaled to a smaller rider
16 x 4 in fat tires and a 28.7 in seat, on the same 500W drivetrain and the same UL 2849 certification as the full-size bikes.
Macfox built the M16 because customers asked for it: their kids wanted an e-bike and the ones on the market did not fit them. It is a full Class 2 bike - 500W peaking at 750W, capped at 20 mph, UL 2849 certified - scaled down to 16 x 4 inch fat tires and a 28.7 inch seat, which puts it within reach of a rider from about 3'11".
The frame is high-strength carbon steel with a reinforced rear, front suspension takes the edge off rough ground, and the 48V 10.4Ah battery is removable and good for up to 25 miles. It is a smaller bike, not a toy version of one.
Built because the full-size ones did not fit
The M16 came out of customer feedback: parents whose kids wanted an e-bike and could not safely reach the ground on the models that existed. Macfox's answer was to shrink the wheels and the seat height rather than the certification - it is Class 2, UL 2849, and capped at 20 mph like everything else they sell.

The same motor as the full-size X1S, held to the same Class 2 ceiling. That matters more on a youth bike than anywhere else in the range: 20 mph is the legal limit and there is no app unlock hiding behind it.
499 Wh, removable, up to 25 miles
A 48V 10.4Ah lithium pack that comes off the bike to charge, so it does not have to live in a garage next to the bike. Macfox quotes up to 25 miles per charge.

16 x 4 in tires and a 28.7 in seat
This is the whole design brief. Smaller wheels and a low seat put a rider from about 3'11" flat-footed at a stop, which is the difference between confident and precarious. The tires are still 4 inches wide, so the grip does not shrink with the bike.
Front fork, upgraded
A front fork that absorbs shock and keeps the front end settled on uneven ground or in a landing - which on a bike ridden by someone learning tricks is the part that gets used.
Mechanical disc, front and rear
Discs at both ends. Mechanical rather than hydraulic, which is the one place the M16 differs from the full-size bikes - it also makes them simpler to adjust at home.
Backlit LCD display
A clear backlit LCD showing speed, battery and mileage - readable in daylight and after dark, which is when a lot of the ride home happens.
Extended padded saddle
Macfox's extra-long cushioned seat, the same idea as the full-size bikes: enough room to move around on, or to carry a friend.

Range and top speed are Macfox's own lab figures, measured with an average rider cruising steadily in second gear. Treat them as a ceiling, not a promise - hills, headwind, throttle use and cold weather all take a bite out of them.

2-year Macfox limited warranty
- Macfox is the manufacturer and carries a 2-year limited warranty; MotorHabit is the dealer and every claim starts with us.
- Report shipping damage within 7 days of delivery, with photos, so we can file the carrier claim in time.
- The battery is UL 2271 certified in its single-pack configuration. A dual-battery setup is outside that certification's scope - Macfox states this and so do we.
- Modifying the controller or the electronic control system voids the warranty, and Macfox recommends against it.
