No license, no registration, no insurance
Federal law treats this as a bicycle, so it belongs on the road and on most bike infrastructure.
Where local rules are tighter, the app limits the bike to Class 1 or 2.
Dual battery, up to 100 miles
A 1000 W hub motor and a 52 V pack you can double. Single battery covers 30 to 50 miles, dual covers 60 to 100, and the second pack is an option rather than a permanent 12 lb penalty.
The Heybike Saturn is a fat-tire electric bike built for long-range utility riding rather than a quick commute. It ships in single-battery or dual-battery form, and the version chosen changes what kind of riding the bike is suited for: shorter local trips versus longer stretches away from a charger.
The single battery is rated for 30 to 50 miles per charge; the dual battery raises that to 60 to 100 miles. Both configurations run fat tires and are available in Leather Black.
The one you take out for the day
Full suspension, 20x4in fat tires and two-piston hydraulic brakes with a motor cut-off. Rack, fenders and mirrors are all included.

Every row says whose number it is. Hills, headwind, tire pressure, rider weight and cold all move them, and throttle riding moves them most. Plan a commute around the low end of the row you recognize, not the number on the box.
What it saves against driving
Based on 0.957 kWh a charge and a 30 mile planning range, against a car at 25 mpg. Fuel only, so no insurance, parking, tires or depreciation are counted on the car's side. The real gap is wider than this.
