No license, no registration, no insurance
Federal law treats this as a bicycle, so it belongs on the road and on most bike infrastructure.
Where local rules are tighter, the app limits the bike to Class 1 or 2.
100 miles, and the numbers are honest about how
Heybike quotes the 100 mile figure with a 155 lb rider on PAS 1, and says so. An 864 Wh pack and a dual torque-plus-cadence sensor are what get it there.
The Hybrid is Heybike's longest-range commuter, built on a step-through frame rated for light off-road use as well as pavement, the pick for riders whose commute does not end where the tarmac does. It is built for commuting and light off-road riding rather than dedicated trail use, according to Heybike's own use rating.
The motor is rated 750 W with a 1,400 W peak. It ships in Onyx Black, Ruby Red or Emerald Green, each on the same step-through frame and motor spec.
The long-commute bike

UL 2849 covers the complete bike, not just the cell pack, and UL 2271 covers the battery. The pack is removable for indoor charging.
Every row says whose number it is. Hills, headwind, tire pressure, rider weight and cold all move them, and throttle riding moves them most. Plan a commute around the low end of the row you recognize, not the number on the box.
What it saves against driving
Based on 0.864 kWh a charge and a 60 mile planning range, against a car at 25 mpg. Fuel only, so no insurance, parking, tires or depreciation are counted on the car's side. The real gap is wider than this.
