What is the difference between the X7 and the X7L?
Frame height. Same platform, same parts list — the L runs a taller frame for taller riders. One fitment code covers both.
Does it take a second battery?
Yes, on the 48V 13Ah platform. A replacement pack must match or exceed the stock capacity, and UL 2271 certification covers the single-pack configuration only.
Is it street legal?
Yes, as a Class 2 e-bike — 750W peak, throttle capped at 20 mph.
What does the fitment code mean?
X7 is this bike's platform code. Every part carrying it has been stated as fitting this frame, and the cart records which bike your order is for.
What if it does not fit?
Send it back. 14 days to start a return on any part, no restocking fee, uninstalled and in its original packaging with the hardware bag unopened. If our fitment data was wrong, we cover the return shipping too — that one is on us, not you.

About Macfox X7 & X7L

The X7 and X7L are the same bike in two frame heights, so they share a parts list - the X7L simply suits taller riders, with a 31.5 inch seat against the X7's 30. Anything on this page that fits one fits the other unless the table says otherwise.

The tires are the part to get right. The X7 runs different sizes front and rear: 20 x 4.5 inches at the front and 20 x 5.0 at the rear, custom-made for this bike rather than bought off a shelf. Order by position, not by count. The rear rack and cargo baskets are listed for the X7 and X7L only, and the hub cover set does not fit at all - it clears 20 x 4.0 inch tires only.
