Macfox publishes a torque figure for the X2 Pro only, and a minimum rider height but no maximum, so nothing here is interpolated between models. All four ship Class 2 — 750W peak, throttle capped at 20 mph. UL 2849 covers the electrical system and UL 2271 the battery in single-pack configuration; a dual-battery setup sits outside that scope and both Macfox and we say so.

Verified fitment

Parts that fit your Macfox

Macfox shares battery interfaces across most of the lineup, but tires, brakes and body parts do not cross over. Pick your platform and the catalog filters to parts confirmed for that exact frame.

M16 Macfox M16

16-inch tires and tubes, mechanical brake pads, thumb throttles, 48V 10.4Ah batteries and chargers. The smallest frame in the range, and the one with the fewest shared parts.

Hydraulic pads and rotors, 20 x 5.0 rear tires, 13Ah batteries. X7 and X7L share one parts list — same platform, different frame height.

Full-suspension service parts, the widest tires in the lineup, dual battery hardware. Parts listed for the plain X2 are not assumed to fit the Pro — different frame, different tires, different weight limit.

How fitment works here

Every SKU is checked against a real compatibility database before it goes live. If a part fits one platform but not another, the product page says so before you pay — and where a fit is untested we label it untested rather than guessing, because knowing what is unverified is part of the promise.

Not sure which platform you have? Email a photo of the frame plate to hello@motorhabit.com. Fitment questions are answered within 24 hours.

Macfox questions, answered

Which Macfox fits my height?
Macfox publishes a minimum rider height and no maximum, so we will not invent one. The M16 is the only model built for smaller riders — 3'11" and up on a 16-inch wheel. The X1S, X7 and X2 Pro are adult frames; the X7L is the taller version of the X7 if the standard frame feels cramped.
Do I need a license to ride one?
No. Every Macfox we sell ships as a Class 2 e-bike: 500W nominal, 750W peak, throttle capped at 20 mph. That means no license, registration or insurance in most states. Local rules vary, so check yours before riding on the street.
Can I add a second battery later?
Yes, on the X1S, X7 and X2 Pro. Macfox battery interfaces are cross-compatible within the platform, and the replacement pack must match or exceed the capacity of the stock one. Note that UL 2271 certification covers the single-pack configuration only — a dual setup is outside that scope.
What is the X2 versus the X2 Pro?
Two different bikes, and we stock only the Pro. The plain X2 is the discontinued model: 20 x 4.0 tires, aluminum frame, 220 lb limit. The X2 Pro is carbon steel, 20 x 4.5 front and 5.0 rear, 330 lb. A part listed only for the X2 is never assumed to fit the Pro — it goes into our fitment table as untested, with the reason.
How does this ship?
Free US shipping over $99. Everything leaves in 1 to 4 business days. Parts go by ground; complete bikes go boxed and insured by freight.
What is the return policy on a bike?
14 days to start a return. Complete bikes carry a 25% restocking fee on a change of mind and return freight at the carrier's actual charge, because that is what the manufacturer charges us. If we shipped the wrong thing or our fitment data was wrong, you pay nothing.

About Macfox

What Macfox makes. Macfox builds moped-style Class 2 electric bikes - pedals, a thumb throttle, and a hard 20 mph ceiling with no app unlock behind it. Federal law treats that as a bicycle, so there is no license, no registration and no insurance. Every system is UL 2849 certified and every single-pack battery configuration is UL 2271 certified.

The range, smallest to largest. The M16 is the youth bike, on 16 x 4 inch tires with a 28.7 inch seat for riders from 3'11". The X1S is the platform most owners modify: 500W, 20 x 4 inch tires, a carbon steel frame with reinforced rear supports. The X1S x Bs.zay is that bike in a limited pearl white. The X7 and X7L add the widest tires Macfox builds - 20 x 4.5 front and 20 x 5.0 rear - and a 624 Wh pack. The X2 Pro tops it out at 750W, 65 N·m and 960 Wh, and is the only one with suspension at both ends.

How the parts are listed. Macfox fitment is genuinely per-model - the same crank set, kickstand, tube or throttle often carries a different part number for each bike, and the X2 and X2 Pro are not interchangeable. Every part page here carries a compatibility table naming the exact models, with Macfox's own wording where they publish it and an honest "ask us" where they do not. Batteries carry one useful exception: the interfaces are shared across the range, so a bigger pack from another model is a legitimate range upgrade as long as it is not smaller than the one your bike shipped with.

Pick the platform. We handle the rest.
