How does the MAV Sensor differ from the Inertia?

MSR specifies a polymer shell for the Sensor, where the Inertia listing states an ABS/PC composite shell. Both are built around the MIPS Evolve Core system and both are listed as 22.06 ECE rated and DOT approved.

Is the sun visor on the MAV Sensor adjustable?

No. MSR describes a fixed, non-adjustable sun visor design on this model. Replacement visors for the MAV Sensor are sold separately, so a scratched or broken peak does not mean buying a new helmet.

Can the padding be cleaned after a long season?

The cheek pads and comfort liner are moisture wicking and machine washable, so they can be pulled out and cleaned. Airflow comes from 10 intake vents, four exhaust vents, three eyebrow vents and a wire mesh chin bar vent.
