The MotoTec Fat Tire is a two-seat electric scooter for riders 16 and up, rated for up to 300 lbs. A 2000W rear hub motor and a 60V 18Ah lithium-ion battery drive it, with a key switch and variable twist throttle on a high-tensile steel frame. It is not street legal with the DMV.
Three selectable speeds run 11, 20, and 30 mph, and range is 20+ miles in optimum conditions on a 4 to 8 hour charge. The massive 225/55-8 air-filled tires take the place of shocks, backed by hydraulic brakes front and rear and an LED headlight. Wheelbase is 51 inches with a 28-inch seat height, and the scooter weighs 123 lbs. Warranty is 60 days parts replacement.
