The Lead-Acid Drifter: 500 Watts and 22 mph
Four 12V 12Ah batteries drive the front hub motor for 10 to 20 miles, with changeable drift disks on the rear tires.
The MotoTec Drifter 48v is the lead-acid version of the front-drive drift trike, for riders 13 and up. A 500W brushless hub motor in the front wheel runs on four 12V 12Ah batteries, and driving the front wheel lets the rider hold controlled drifts while easily changeable plastic disks around the rear tires break traction.
Rated speed is 22 mph depending on weight, with a 10 to 20 mile range per charge and a 4 to 8 hour recharge on the included charger. A front hydraulic disc brake, adjustable handlebars, long foot rests, and a folding wide saddle handle the rider's controls. Max capacity is 240 lbs, battery life is rated over 300 charges, and climbing ability is 15 degrees. Warranty is 30 days parts replacement.
