About this part

A replacement battery cover for the Talaria Sting MX5. It fits the original battery compartment and replaces a cover that has cracked or been lost. Its job is to protect the battery from bumps and vibration on rough ground.

The cover is made from PP plastic combined with die-cast aluminum, giving impact resistance without much weight. It is flame retardant and holds its shape in high-temperature conditions. Installation is bolt-on using the existing mounts. Keep the stock fasteners to reuse. If your MX5 battery cover is only scuffed rather than broken, a decal may be the cheaper fix; this part is for a damaged cover.
