Heybike Gear Shifter

Heybike's bar-mounted gear shifter, the handlebar control that selects gears. It replaces a shifter whose indexing has worn. Shifters that need two clicks to move one gear have usually worn their indexing detents, which is not something a cable adjustment fixes, so once it starts double-clicking this is the part to change rather than the cable.

Fitting means clamping it to the bar, threading the cable through and setting the indexing at the derailleur. Slide the grip off first, position the shifter where your thumb reaches it without moving your hand, and run through every gear on the stand before riding.
