About this part
The oil seal for the Freego Nova 3. It works in both directions at once, holding lubricant inside the assembly and keeping dust and water out of it. Once a seal hardens or nicks, the bearing behind it is on borrowed time.
Verified against the Freego Nova 3. Replace the seal any time the assembly is opened, since a used seal that has taken a set rarely reseats. Fit it with the lip facing the fluid side, press it in square, and put a smear of grease on the lip before assembly so it is not running dry on the first rotation.
