What impact rating does the Hex Pro pad carry?
EVS states the Hex impact insert provides fully breathable CE EN 1621-1 level protection. Coverage extends beyond the kneecap to the sides of the knee and the upper shin, with molded bio-foam over the condyles.
Do the Hex Pro guards stay in place while riding?
EVS addresses migration three ways: tacky silicone grippers in key areas, a single thigh compression strap with Trac Grip, and a U-Lock ring that surrounds the impact pad and locks it during an impact.
Can these guards replace a hinged knee brace?
No. They are guards, so they absorb and spread impact but do not restrict how far the knee bends or twists. Riders who want joint travel controlled should look at a hinged brace instead. Sold in pairs.
