Tapered Roller Steering Head Bearing Kit With Cups And Spacers For Surron LBX
The tapered roller steering head bearing kit for the Surron Light Bee X. It replaces the round ball bearings fitted to the earliest Light Bees, before the factory moved to tapered rollers. Tapered rollers carry the fore-and-aft load a front end sees under braking far better than balls do.
The kit comes with two tapered roller steering head bearings plus all the spacers and cups shown. Sold as a single item, shipping weight 0.25 lb. Verified against the Surron Light Bee X. Set the preload by feel with the front wheel off the ground: the bars should fall to lock under their own weight without any notch through the center.
