About this part

The Asterisk Ultra Cell 4.1 sold as a pair, one left and one right. The 4.1 is the Ultra Cell 3.0 fitted with the patella cup from the Carbon Cell, a change Asterisk made because riding pants have grown tighter and more elastic through the knee.

That cup is a patented three-piece design that collapses to a low profile when the knee is bent, and its parts can be changed in the field. The frame is an A.C.M. carbon fiber epoxy matrix. The Asymmetri-Glide hinge adjusts from 0 to 30 degrees with condyle shims for fine tuning. It keeps the 3.0 strap positioning liners and the patented anti-rotation tether. Cotton undersleeves and tethers are included.

Does this include braces for both of my legs?
Yes. The pair covers left and right in a single size taken from the chart on this page. Individual left and right Ultra Cell 4.1 braces are listed separately if you need only one.
What frame material does the Ultra Cell 4.1 use?
It uses the A.C.M. frame, a carbon fiber epoxy matrix shaped anatomically to be rigid, lightweight and impact distributing. The Asymmetri-Glide hinge lets each side set properly and aligns the lower frame to the tibia.
How is the fit fine-tuned once I have them?
Condyle shims fine-tune the hinge fit, the extension regulator adjusts from 0 to 30 degrees, and the A.R.C. cuff provides adjustable retention control with multiform rigid lateral support on each brace.
