Macfox M16 questions, answered

Who is the M16 for?
Smaller riders. It is the only Macfox built around a 16-inch wheel, for riders 3'11" and up. Macfox publishes a minimum rider height and no maximum, so we do not state one.
Do X1S parts fit?
Some — batteries and parts of the drivetrain. Wheels, tires and brake hardware do not, because the M16 runs a 16-inch wheel against the X1S's 20. Check the codes on each page.
Is it street legal?
Yes, as a Class 2 e-bike: 750W peak, throttle capped at 20 mph. No license or registration in most states.
What does the fitment code mean?
M16 is this bike's platform code. Every part carrying it has been stated as fitting this frame, and the cart records which bike your order is for.
What if it does not fit?
Send it back. 14 days to start a return on any part, no restocking fee, uninstalled and in its original packaging with the hardware bag unopened. If our fitment data was wrong, we cover the return shipping too — that one is on us, not you.

About Macfox M16

The M16 is the one Macfox where you cannot assume a part crosses over. It takes its own crank set, kickstand, inner tube and brake levers, and Macfox states outright that the extended seat, the rear foot pegs and the frame storage bag do not fit it. The light strip fits only M16s with a blue 4-pin connector - check yours before ordering.

What does fit is most of the cockpit: the bar pad, the phone holder, the rearview mirror kit and the pedals are listed for every Macfox model. The M16 also uses mechanical disc brakes rather than the hydraulic ones on the full-size bikes, which makes them simpler to adjust at home.
